Like this, you will need the full keypad version.

DTMF pad programming (if available):

With the radio off, use a piece of wire to short pins 3,4,and 6 on the external mic connection.
**NOTE** with the radio facing you and standing upright, pins are numbered starting with the top of the row closest to you moving down then continuing with the top of the "back" row.

1
7
2
8
3
9
4
10
5
11
6
12

Turn the radio on while shorting pins 3,4,6. "WRITER" should appear on the LCD. Remove the shorting wire before continuing.

To program channel frequencies and PL/DPL codes, press "F", "1". This will show "G 1C 1", this is group 1, channel 1. Press the backlight button to clear this to quickly program a specific channel in group 1 or 2; OR press "ENT" to cycle through RX freq./RX PL/TX freq./TX PL.
**NOTE** to delete an existing DPL or PL press the backlight button.

Enter your desired frequencies and PL tones...REMEMBER to use a 3x4 frequency...(ie. for 444.2850, enter 4442850). PL tones are entered without a decimal...(ie. for 156.7khz, enter 1567)
NOW FOR THE PART I'M NOT TOO SURE ABOUT
If at the "WRITER" screen you press "F", "0" I think you can program the power outputs for each channel, add and delete channels, and several other unknown options.
