TK-730 G Delete/Add button issues

I was wondering if someone is able to help me fix, or understand the delete/add "D/A" on the TK-730 G. I have it programmed into the programming however when I go to use this button it doesn't seem to do anything, the channels don't seem to come out of scan and vice versus. I looked to see if there was something I missed in the programming however I have found nothing. Anyone got any ideas?

You have to hold the button down for a few seconds till it beeps.

Press and hold scan button then press D/A. This will add or delete channels
from scan list. Press and hold scan, then press group up or down to
add or delete groups.
