The Radio Information Board

I have wanted to add the rolling code version to a portable I already have (but doesn't have as a factory option) for a long time now. I have *not* wanted to pay the price they want for one board (which never made any sense to me - for the price of a single flylead board I could almost buy two sabers with MUCH better encryption installed).


So, I notice that vertex offers it as an option. Wonders I, could you get one of these boards, and mod it to work in other applications, or is this a software / firmware trick a'la moto?

Course, now that moto basically owns vertex, I bet I can't buy a simple answer anymore...
