Problem with CE-52 Software

I have used the CE52 software on my computer numerous times with no problem but after my computer crashed and I reinstalled it, I started having trouble. It installed fine, but when I try to read the radio and click start to upload, I get a box that pops up that says Open Err. At that point the software freezes and I have to close it. Has anyone ever seen this before?
