TK-790 loss of audio.

Yesterday my TK-790 suddenly stopped giving me audio output, The radio is configured for both an external speaker and a PA speaker, both of which are no longer working. At the time i was connecting the wires of the PA output to a small 20W audio amplifier and couldn't figure out why i wasn't getting any output. I disconnected everything and checked the audio and nothing, The radio did have audio beforehand. Is it safe to assume i fried the Audio amp or is there something stupid i'm looking right over?
