TK-260 Programming Issue and Cloning

Post by kwradioguy »

I have 260 (not a G model) that has a strange programming issue. The radio reads fine and appears to take the program (for all 4 channels) sent to it. But, when the radio is tested it appears to enter the frequencies for the last two channels in all 4 channels. I have trid 3 different versions of SW (1, 4 and 5). Nothing seems to address this issue.

Any advice on what I might be able to do to clear the issue?

I thought of trying to clone this radio to a good radio. Can you clone a TK-260? How do I get it into clone mode? What cable wiring to I need to use?

Thanks
John

Might just be a bad channel switch, are the clicks positive or loose and sloppy?
