MPI II mic gain

MPI II mic gain

Has anyone upped the mic gain on an MPI or MPI II? I have had both and you have to eat the radio to get the thing to deviate.
Mabey I just had two bad elements? I have a third and will check it soon.

Did you ever think that the deviation may need to be adjusted? Those radios do have a separate mic element, but it doesn't go bad very often.
