Ranger 89 programming interface

Post by KF4SQB »

Does anyone know of a "quick 'n' dirty" programming interface for the high-band Ranger 89 with an S550 head? I am looking for something that I can homebrew cheaply, as I don't have the money availible to buy a commercially built unit. Thanks!

Find someone else that has the programming ability. You could pull the EEPROM and just send it to someone to be programmed.

I realize this post is 3 years old, but I'd be happy to program your chips
if you supply stamped envelopes for return. (since we're only talking 32 ch
max, or more likely, 16)
