I have a portable radio I got last year at the hamfest. The back of the radio has an Ericsson, Inc label on it. The battery is also an Ericsson. The front faceplate (over the speaker) has the GE symbol on it. Then the little drop in charger says maxon on the front. It is 16 channels, has a hi/low power select push button on the top, and a 6 pin connector on top with a cap over it that is held on by the volume knob. I am looking for ID of this radio, as well as what I would need to buy to program it. Email me for pictures. The serial number is: 9451892 (goes to second line) 344A4209P85
Thanks, Ryan -KC2KQH

Got yourself a GE Monogram line (OEM by Maxon):

440 work
No, that radio if its a 480MHZ + unit is not capable of going down... to 440 range. Unless its an agile unit most will only go 5-10MHZ below and they need to be retuned and you usually loose performance at the opposite end, but your radios range is to much a spread away from your 440 range ... and those where not designed with wide band performance in mind.
Ok, well I do have another alternative for it
I have another use for this radio within the right range and everything. What do I need to program this radio?
