I am looking for a smaller hand mic for the tk 830 the stock one feels to big what other mics will work with this radio? and a good place to get one from. Thanks

I can't for the life of me remember the model number but they have a smaller black noise cancelling mic. It is much "handier" than the normal mic and is noise cancelling to boot. Works nice.

Tessco carries the Shure "Modulink" series mics and cables. I'm confident that they have a cable set for Kenwood. The mics are not small, but they are pretty comfortable.

Kenwood part number for the smaller/lighter black mic with six pin plug=
T91-0552-05,should be available at east coast transistor.
