I need help with my MRK

Post by Luis1972 »

I hope some one can help me, I tried to change over a MRK I to a MRK II (EZ) but when I tried to program it said "err 12 volt not present, radio appilcant err, and protocall err.

I tried loading back the org program and org state of the radio and it seems like it doesn't want it now...

Please some one have before pull all my hair out...

Thanks

what cable are you using?

i had the same problem while trying to use a factory lpe cable on an older
mrk controller. using an "19b801971p4" cable made that error message go away.

i could read the suspect mrk with the newer lpe cable, but i never could write with it.

When changing from M-RK I to II I you change the tracking data type. Then I always loaded M-RK II flashcode. You wont be able to do that with the price ribless cable, you have to have the TQ3370 box or the price P96A and the associated cable to do flashing.

Just to second what Chris said - the Price Ribless cable does not support flash upgrading, and I'm guessing that's what your problem is.

The ribless can only read and write programming.

Let us know how you make out.
