Field Programming TK-270/370

I just found this site with instructions of how to field program the TK-270/370.

Also, does anyone know why I can't get a 270 to work on 172.275? When I program it in and go to that channel, the radio just beeps.

I can only venture a guess that the radio needs a tune up. Perhaps it can't lock on that outer limit of it's range now. Just a random guess.

Have you made sure that you have programmed both a tx and rx freq with PL?

If you only program the RX freq and PL (or no) PL, you get the error tone.

Double check and see if this fixes it.

RX and TX are on 172.275, PL only on TX. still beepin'. It's probably something along the lines of what nmfire10 said. After all, the radio came from ebay.
