Master III Multi PL Tones

Post by jsikora »

? Does this base allow multiple PL tones on conventional thru the base. We have one and need to add one PL tone in addition to the one in it. Really dont want to add external controls, and if thats the case, will probally suffer with one tone.

 Our master 3 is currently set up with different pl's for the four channels we have in it. The master 2 would only do one pl/dcs if memory serves correctly.

MIII

OK, That I think is right, bu I want 2 differnt PL's on Channel 1. This is a stand alone repeater site. It s used as a 911 admin channel, but want to add another occassional user, but not have to monitor it.

Install a comunity repeater control panel and you could have all 32 standard CTCSS tones as well as the digital codes. The tone that comes in will also go out or be changed depending on how you have it programmed.

We really dont want to go that route, due to circumstances I have no say over. Guess we'll suffer.

I haven't looked at a III, but on the IIe (same CPU) you can play with the programming function lists to get a second tone on the same channel. You might try the GE MASTR list on Yahoo.

Another possibility is to use another signalling format for the second user?
