TK-x30 KCH-4 Head Dimensions

Post by oblongataman »

I was looking at doing a mobile install of a TK-730 / TK-830 into a Toyota 4Runner and would hope someone would be kind enough to measure the sizes of the Alphanumeric KCH-4 head for me. I have a rough idea, but would like better than a guesstimation.

Also, do the cables which run from the rear of the head add significant addition to the size of the head?

Thanks!

Andy,
The dimensions are as follows-7"x2"x3" with cable(2 1/2 without). Hope this helps. What band split are you using on hte -830?

Planning on using the 440 to 470 split for PS communications in and around the Pittsburgh area. The TK-730 and 830 will give me a good setup for the right price, I hope. Now to find the parts to make this thing work...

Dimensions look good for what i'm going to do - almost a custom fit (crosses fingers)....

Thanks again.

PS: Don't get me wrong - i'm up for the Amature work too! Forgot to mention that I'm trying to make sure I'm all type accepted because of my need to transmit on both PS and Ham.

Thanks,

Andy
