how about getting more than a, b, and c tones in the decode in the tk-270g? we are all "hi-band" here so we have our FD dispatch tones and no more spaces for indivdual paging tones. I'm pretty good at setting the things up but I'm just not getting this one.

I think you are limited to one set of tones, IE A, B, and C tones. The paging function is rather limited, and they more or less included it only as a courtesy feature.

I have since discovered this, thanks for the reply though. Does anybody know of any sites or docs that can be downloaded for tips or tricks or hidden settings for this model? even the programming manual would be interesting to read. the manufacturer website is pretty much usless.

You could order a copy of the service manual but it is not very helpful. Most of the programming info is just tables and flow charts. I find that the "help" feature in the programming software is sometimes of more value than the manual.
