Ignition interlock on KW862H

Is it possible to have ignition interlock on the Kenwood 862 series radios without adding an external relay like you did ages ago? I just have the red and black wires coming out of the rear of the radio. THANKS

Yes, but you must solder a wire to the ignition sense pad (IGN), and you must remove a very tiny chip resistor from the underside of the main circuit board. The ignition sense wire should be fused for 3A and run to a switched 12V source.
