No Tx on 762G

radio has been checked by non kenwood shop ... they can make it transmit thru computer prog. but not mic. they say the have voltage at the mic but nothing happens when they make it low... is it fried or is there help for the radio?????

but since you said they were not a Kenwood shop they might not have one handy. Did they try a new microphone?
I don't know much about 2-way radios but I'm over 50 and can't remember not having one around. Everything from Buddy and Citi-fone to Icom and Kenwood.

yes tried new mic... and tried to jumper the connection ... they arent a kenwood shop but they have done most all of my radio work in the past 17 years and they work on most any kind ... the radio will transmit thru the computer prog. but not with the mic...

Any tech should be able to troubleshoot the problem....that model was famous for circuits going open on the front controller board,usually repaired by wiring jumpers from point a to point b.
