No PLT action on TK-730H?

Post by Bobcat »

We have a TK-730H / TK-830H working with a single head (160 channel full feature). After installing the upgrade chips and removing the associated resisters we programmed the set with several frequencies. Most without PLT’s but at least three with standard PLT’s on the transmit side. Everything worked well for a couple of days then we noticed we lost the ability to “tripâ€￾ a repeater with a PLT of 141.3. Then later we lost the ability to “tripâ€￾ a second repeater with a PLT of 114.8. However, there is still one repeater we can “tripâ€￾ that also uses a PLT of 114.8.
The repeaters in question still work when we use a Kenwood TK-780 loaded with the same information and with all of the handheld radios we use. Any ideas? One hint, the repeater we can still “tripâ€￾ is several miles closer then the ones we can’t.

Have the pl levels checked on a service monitor....sounds like you may be a little low on pl deviation.
It is vr301 on the bottom of the units..you could try to turn them up a little if you don't have access to a SM
