tk-730H programming issues and SVR-200UD

Post by ohgary »

I am trying to program a tk-730H-1 Does the H model take something other than kpg7d? if so what.

Unit has a basic 32 head on it. I try to read the radio. I start out in the PG program mode on the display. I go to read the radio and the head changes to 16 and then counts down to 1. The PC shows reading blocks 1-16 and 50% then errors out. The radio head goes to ER.

It looks like it thinks the head is 16 channels. anyone seen this, anyone know a way around this? I have not been able to write any data, I keep getting a mismatch error and the radio goes into ER mode.

Help?

The radio was part of a SVR-200UD in car repeater with a dual head. I have unconverted the VHF side, FAA chips, unsoldering jumper at w106. Anyone else pull one of these apart?

It uses the same KPG7D as any other 30 series. It sounds like it can't properly read one of the EEPROMS. Check to see if both are the same and if the little SMD resistors or correct. Peter.
