Hey all TK730 questions

Post by Medic-53 »

hey I just got a TK730, a TK830 G, and a Tk 260G-1

Neither of them came with a manual, kenwood doesnt have any more in stock.

So I was wondering if there was any way of linking the 739 and 830 in order to create a cross band repeater or something like it.

REASON:

I work for an ambulance company, we recently started working with a private security company, We use VHF They use UHF. In my superviosr rig I have the TK730 and a TK830, as for a portable i have my trusty VHF TK260g.

I dont want to roll to an event and have a pager, cell phone, and five fricken radios on my belt.

so any suggestions would be awesome....

thanks all,

You can get a dual band kit for the 730/830 so it would only have 1 head. Replace the handheld with a yaesu fth2070, its a dual band handheld. Big and heavy but the only dualband option.
