S825 system question

Post by 007 »

I've just started looking at/for a S825 equipped Delta's and Rangr's...anyone know of a comprehensive site with info? I'm looking for features, useability info etc. I'm becoming interested in these units and looking for info.

Unless it does the board good, please PM or email with info.

Thanks.

This may help out a little bit, LBI-38244F is the Maintenance Manual for the S-825 control head. There is alot about how the different functions work. There are also a bunch of wiring diagrams that may interest you. The manual is available at http://www.RadTek.ws - From their home page click on:

GE/Erricsson -> Manuals -> Index of LBIs & Manuals available on this site -> and click on 38244F.PDF

Good Luck.

007,

You probably want GE with the S825 because of channel capacity, reliability and most importantly $$$$$.

it would be hard to find a comparable spectra or x9000 for the same price as you would get a Rangr or Orion.

Its also an easier radio to program and very forgiving.

I would stay away from the Delta and stick to the Rangr unless you can find a Delta SX.

I run the site at http://www.radtek.ws I have several manuals in .pdf and software. If you dont find it on the site e-mail me and I probably have it here (I havent done a recent site update due to the fact I am working on a site re-design).

Thanks guys....the useability is the biggest reason. I used the radio over the summer out in CA when I spent a couple days with CHP. I really liked what it could do, especially since I have both spectra's and X9000's!
