TKR750 Program problems

I have a problem getting the KPG91D software to read a TKR750 Ver 2.

The software loads up OK and I have tried two PC one desktop with a serial port and the other a laptop with a USB serial adaptor.

have tried the serial ports on other equipment and they work OK but can not communicate with the TKR750, the program lead is a genuine Kenwood unit brand new as is the repeater.

The repeater is unprogramed with the E1 message on the display.

Am I missing something?

The version 1 software will not work on the ver 2 repeater.

Thanks for the reply,

i was using the correct version software for the radio but I found out last night that the program lead I had(new) was faulty, I had a loan of another program lead and all works OK,
