Hello,I have a Monogram with no display,not the head or the ribbon,swapped with a good head.....any ideas?

If you're talking about the maxon 4000 series with the flourescent display there is a high voltage inverter circuit on the audio/logic to supply the high voltage for the display. I had one where the miniture transformer in the supply circuit went bad.

Yes it was that min transformer,not fun to change tho!
